EmoteFactory is operated by [OPERATOR], which is the data controller for the information described here.
The shortest version: the free tools process images entirely in your browser, and we only collect what is needed to run an account and take payments.
The free tools do not upload your files
Reading, resizing, scoring, cutting out backgrounds and building ZIPs all happen locally in your browser using the Canvas API and typed arrays.
There is no upload request for those operations, and the images are not stored on our servers.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, and a display name if you set one.
- Generation data: the prompts you submit, the images generated, and the readability and consistency results, so you can access your library.
- Billing data: which product you bought and the payment provider's order identifier. We never see or store your card details; the payment provider handles them.
- Optional integrations: a Twitch login or 7TV identity, only if you connect them for those features.
- Aggregate tool usage: which free tool was used and the outcome score, attached to "guest" or your user id. We do not store IP addresses in this log.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use your generated emotes to train models.
- We do not publish your emotes to a gallery unless you explicitly choose to share them.
- We do not store IP addresses in analytics.
Third parties we rely on
These providers process data on our instructions. Prompts and reference images sent for generation are subject to the provider's own retention policy.
- A payment provider, to take payments and manage subscriptions.
- An image generation provider, which receives your prompt and any reference image you supply in order to produce the emote.
- A text model provider, used to expand short prompts into structured ones.
- Object storage and a database provider, for the assets and records described above.
How long we keep things
Account and generated assets are kept while your account is open. Deleting your account removes your assets and personal data, except records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.
Generation logs are kept for a shorter period for debugging and cost accounting, then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us and we will action a request within the period the applicable law requires.
Where the legal basis is consent — for example connecting a third-party account — you can withdraw it at any time by disconnecting that account.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Children
The service is not intended for anyone below the minimum age for their platform of use, or below the age at which they can consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
